Türkiye's environmental festival kicked off on Thursday in the capital Ankara, with 70 stands highlighting environmental, zero-waste, and renewable energy projects.

The "CEVREFEST" environmental festival is organized by Türkiye’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, with Turkish international news agency Anadolu acting as its global communication partner.

The festival features talks, workshops, and an environmental-themed book fair that appeals to people of all ages.

The four-day festival, which opened its doors with the theme "We All Have One World," will culminate on Sunday.

Information is provided to visitors at stands set up by 39 municipalities, 13 private sector companies, five associations, nine universities, and various ministries, with a focus on environmental, zero waste, and renewable energy initiatives.

A model robot made from scrap car parts, and a miniature model of Ankara Castle and its surroundings made from waste cardboard, are among the festival's attractions.

Moreover, a sculpture of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea and earthquakes, made from waste plastic bottle caps, fishing nets, and construction irons, highlights marine pollution.
