ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's Medipol Medical Group inked a partnership agreement with Bahrain Royal Health Services, it said in a statement on Thursday.

Operating under the Bahrain Defence Ministry, Bahrain Royal Health Services is the second-largest healthcare provider of the country with a capacity of over 400 beds and offers services through a network of nearly 4,000 doctors and employees.

This system includes primary care physicians, outpatient centers, and hospitals, as well as specialized care in areas such as skilled nursing, elderly health, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and home care services.

The collaboration will see the establishment of new hospitals in the Gulf country, the introduction of various medical specialties, and joint efforts in medical education and technical infrastructure development.

The Medipol Health Group has demonstrated its capabilities in the health tourism sector, treating over 35,000 patients from 153 different countries in the past year alone.

The collaboration aims to prioritize the establishment of Bone Marrow transplant centers, Oncology and Hematology units, and to facilitate medical experience sharing in Radiation Oncology, Oncological Surgery, Organ transplantation, and Parkinson's disease surgery.

As part of the deal, diseases that cannot be treated in Bahrain will be treated in Türkiye.
