Türkiye's military chief visits Hungary, meets top defense officials

Metin Gurak meets his Hungarian counterpart, defense minister during official visit

Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gurak met with Hungarian Defense Minister Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Chief of General Staff Gabor Borondi during an official visit to Hungary, according to the Turkish Armed Forces on Friday.

Gurak was welcomed with a military ceremony by Borondi at Budapest's Heroes Square, said the military on X.

Gurak laid a wreath at the monument and observed a minute of silence.

Following the ceremony, he held official meetings with Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Borondi.

Gurak also conducted inspections of units within the Hungarian Defense Forces.
