Türkiye's stock exchange ends 7-session winning streak on Tuesday

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday with losses to close at 3,571.55 points, ending its seven-session winning streak.

Starting the day at 3,592.55 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.29%, or 10.48 points, from the previous close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 3,563.20, while its daily high was 3,605.95.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.8 trillion Turkish liras ($153.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 61 billion Turkish liras ($3.3 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,676, while Brent crude oil sold at around $94.30 per barrel as of 18.00 p.m. local time (1500GMT).
