UAE, US take part in ‘Iron Claw 2’ joint military drill
War-games are aimed at bolstering operational coordination and raising overall combat readiness

ABU DHABI (AA) - Military forces from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States have begun conducting joint military exercises in Abu Dhabi.
The "Iron Claw 2" war-games, which kicked off Monday, aim to bolster operational coordination and raise overall combat readiness, according to UAE state news agency WAM.
The drills are also meant to enhance participants’ military capabilities and facilitate the exchange of field experience, the news agency reported.
WAM said the drills also sought to provide UAE forces with the ability to handle various types of sophisticated weaponry and equipment.
No information was available regarding the number of military personnel participating in the drill from both countries.
