UK economy expands 0.3% month-on-month in November, beating expectations

ISTANBUL (AA) - The UK economy grew 0.3% on a monthly basis in November, beating market expectations.

According to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data on Friday, monthly GDP was up 0.3% after a fall of 0.3% in October.

In November, services was the main contributor to the monthly GDP growth, rising 0.4%.

Production output also posted growth of 0.3% in November while the construction sector fell 0.2%.

It added: "Real gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have fallen by 0.2% in the three months to November 2023, compared with the three months to August 2023."
