Ukraine announces cybersecurity mechanism with 10 Western countries
Tallinn Mechanism to help strengthen country's cybersecurity, defense in cyberspace, meet long-term cyber resilience needs, says Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

ISTANBUL (AA) — Ukraine on Wednesday announced the creation of a joint cybersecurity mechanism with 10 Western countries.
A statement by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said the Tallinn Cyber Security Mechanism was created together with the foreign ministries of Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, the UK, and the US.
"The Tallinn Mechanism will help strengthen Ukraine's cyber security and civilian cyber potential, strengthen our state's defense in cyberspace, and meet long-term cyber resilience needs," the statement said.
It also noted that the foreign ministries of the countries in the mechanism would "coordinate efforts to mobilize additional support for the needs of specialized institutions in the field of cyber security."
"The group will also closely cooperate with the EU and NATO and remains open to new members joining," it added.
