Ukrainians must know ‘they are not alone,’ says Zelenskyy

KYIV (AA) - Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday said it is essential for Ukrainians to understand that they are not alone in their struggle.

During his visit to the US, he met with representatives of the Ukrainian community at the Ukraine House in Washington, according to a statement on his social media account.

"It is very important for us that Ukraine’s voice is heard and that no one forgets about it — neither during the war nor after it," he said.

"It is crucial for the Ukrainian people to know that they are not alone, that their interests are represented in every country and every corner of the world," Zelenskyy said.

"I thank you for your support during these difficult times and for all your efforts on behalf of Ukraine and Ukrainians — not only through diplomatic and financial means but also through political and spiritual support, including your prayers," he added.
