JERUSALEM (AA) – One Israeli was killed and another injured in a suspected stabbing attack in northern Israel on Wednesday, according to local media.

An Israeli Arab citizen stabbed two Israelis in a shopping mall, killing one and seriously injuring another, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported.

Police said the suspected attacker was shot and killed in the attack in Karmiel, without providing any further details.

KAN said the perpetrator was a resident of the Arab town of Nahf in northern Israel, and his mother was arrested in the area of the incident.
