GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) — Israeli airstrikes on two homes in Gaza City killed at least 12 Palestinians and injured several others on Friday, the Palestinian Civil Defense and medical sources said.
In a statement, the Palestinian Civil Defense said its teams recovered the bodies of three victims and rescued five injured people from the rubble of a house belonging to the Nassar family.
The Civil Defense also reported that another Israeli strike on a home in Gaza's Al-Zaytoun neighborhood injured four people, who were transported to the Baptist Hospital for treatment.
In Gaza City, four more Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli attack on a group of civilians in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, according to medical sources.
In the Central Governorate, Israeli forces continued their heavy bombardment of various parts of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp for the second consecutive day.
Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat camp reported that its teams, along with Civil Defense units, recovered five bodies from an Israeli airstrike that targeted a family home in the camp.
A medical source told Anadolu that eight Palestinians were also injured when an Israeli helicopter targeted an area west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
The source added that five Palestinians were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a family house north of the Maghazi Refugee Camp in central Gaza.
Israel has launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas in October last year, killing over 44,300 people, most of them women and children, and injuring over 104,900.
The second year of genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions labeling the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.
Last week, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
