RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - At least four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, according to medics.

A drone bombed an area in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm city, witnesses said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its teams retrieved two bodies from the camp, bringing the death toll from the attack to four.

The Health Ministry earlier said that two people had been killed in the drone strike.

The Israeli army raided the camp overnight, deploying sniper teams and declaring the camp a closed military zone, witnesses said.

There was no immediate Israeli comment on the report.

Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip after a cross-border attack by Hamas last October.

At least 445 Palestinians have since been killed and over 4,700 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which in an interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza, where at least 32,000 people have been killed.
