RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – At least seven Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, the Health Ministry and witnesses said.
Witnesses said an Israeli drone struck a car in the town of Muthalath al-Shuhada, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The Health Ministry confirmed that two people were killed in the attack.
Another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli military raid in Tammoun town in the northern West Bank.
The General Authority for Civil Affairs reported the death of a second citizen in the town of Tammoun, whose identity has not yet been confirmed as the Israeli army is holding his body.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement that three Palestinians were killed as a result of the Israeli assault on the town of Qabatiya of Jenin
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli force raided the town and surrounded a home, triggering clashes with Palestinians.
The Israeli army also raided other areas in the northern West Bank, including the Far'a refugee camp in Tubas city, Qalqilya city, and Qabatiya town.
In the Far'a refugee camp, the Israeli army was escorted with bulldozers which embarked on destroying infrastructure facilities in the camp.
Similarly, the Israeli army raided Qabatiya town and destroyed roads and infrastructure amid clashes with Palestinians.
Over the past few years, the Israeli military has conducted regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated with the beginning of the war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.
Over 776 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,300 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.
The escalation follows a landmark opinion in July by the International Court of Justice that declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land "illegal" and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
