LONDON (AA) - A major incident has been declared on Monday after a suspected gas explosion at a house in Swansea, the second-largest city of Wales.

Three people were taken to hospital by ambulance with one person still missing, South Wales Police said.

Emergency services are still on the ground since the incident which happened at 11.20 a.m. at the junction of Field Close and Clydach Road in Morriston.

"Our thoughts are with everyone who have been affected by this morning's incident and we would like to thank the community for their support whilst this incident is ongoing," South Wales Police said.

The police have been working to find the missing person and a rest center was established to help the residents affected.
