UPDATE - Turkey's Borsa Istanbul closes over 100K points
BIST 100 index tops 100K-point mark for first time since March 26

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 100,200.97 points, up 0.47%.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 99,817.80 points, rising 465.29 points from Monday's close of 99,735.68 points.
The index also topped the 100,000-point mark for the first time since March 26.
The benchmark index hovered between 99,178.93 and 100,341.64 points during Tuesday's trading.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 668.9 billion Turkish liras ($117.8 billion) by market close, and the daily trading volume was 7.9 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).
On the second transaction day of the week, 66 stocks on the index rose, 24 were down, and 10 were flat compared to the previous close.
The top-listed companies by market value were Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding ($8 billion) and private lenders Garanti ($7.3 billion) and Akbank ($6.7 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, Garanti, and private lender ICBC Turkey Bank.
Electrical company Gersan was the best performer, with its shares up 20%, while stocks of major appliances producer Vestel dropped the most, down 3.85%.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,391.80 by market close, down from $1,394.20 Monday's close, according to Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets data.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.40 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Tuesday.
