UPDATE - Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul down 2.55% on Wednesday
BIST 100 loses nearly 35 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 1,330.48 points, down 2.55% from the previous day.
Starting the day at 1,363.87 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 34.79 points from Tuesday's close of 1,365.27 points.
During the day, the index's lowest value was 1,308.52 points, while its daily high was 1,365.50 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 942 billion Turkish liras ($116 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 15.6 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion).
In the midweek session, five stocks on the index rose, 93 fell, and two was unchanged compared to Tuesday.
The highest trading volumes were posted by iron/steel producer Eregli, private lender Garanti BBVA, and petrochemical giant Petkim.
Football club Fenerbahce was the best performer, with its shares up 10%, while stocks of energy firm Odas dropped the most, 9.93%.
The price of one ounce of gold was $1,783.60 by market close, up from $1.770,50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $65.91 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).
