NEW DELHI (AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The closed-door meeting came on the sidelines of the last day of the G-20 Leaders' Summit in New Delhi, India.
"During the meeting, relations between Türkiye and India were discussed in all their dimensions and projects that would enhance economic relations and bilateral trade volume, as well as current regional and international issues concerning both countries, were evaluated," Türkiye's Communications Directorate said on X.
Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Erdogan's chief adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic, and Hasan Dogan, chief of cabinet to the president, were also present at the meeting.
For his part, Modi said he had a "fruitful" meeting with Erdogan and talked about ways to further cement trade and infrastructure linkages between India and Türkiye.
