UPDATE - Turkish stock market closes Thursday on low note
BIST 100 loses over 23 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul fell 0.94% on Thursday to close at 2,428.42 points.
Starting the day at 2,461.96 points, BIST 100 index decreased 23.01 points from Wednesday's close of 2,451.43.
During Thursday's trading, the BIST 100 hovered between 2,427.86 and 2,477.94 points, as 57 stocks rose, 40 fell and three were flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of around 2 trillion Turkish liras ($133.3 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 36.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).
Shares of national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, private lenders Garanti BBVA and Akbank posted the highest trading volumes on Thursday.
Private lender Sekerbank posted the largest gain, with its shares up 10%, while natural gas distributer Baskent Dogalgaz suffered the most, going down 9.98%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,892.90 by market close, down from $1,905.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was up 1.10% to $106.10 per barrel as of 6.12 p.m. local time (1512GMT).
