UPDATE - Turkish stocks post gains at Wednesday close
BIST 100 rises 9.42 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul closed Wednesday with gains, rising 0.45% to 2,088.80 points.
Starting the day at 2,092.07 points, BIST 100 index gained 9.42 points from Tuesday's close of 2,079.38 points.
During Wednesday's trading, the BIST 100 hovered between 2,078.20 points and 2,098.49 points – 52 stocks on the index rose, 41 fell, and seven were flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of around 1.7 trillion Turkish liras ($115.3 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 26.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion).
Shares of national flag carrier Turkish Airlines and two iron/steel producers Eregli and Kardemir posted the highest trading volumes on Wednesday.
Major apparel manufacturer Mavi Giyim (MAVI) was the best performer with its shares up 6.42%, while shares of defense electronics firm Aselsan (ASELS) dropped the most, 2.62%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,919.00 by market close, down from $1,931.25 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil fell to $98.30 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Wednesday, down nearly 1.5% from the previous close.
