ANKARA (AA) - US durable goods orders unexpectedly remained unchanged in July compared to a month ago, according to data released Wednesday.
New orders fell less than $0.1 billion to $273.5 billion, the US Commerce Department's Census Bureau said in a report.
The decrease, after four consecutive monthly increases, followed a 2.2% gain in June.
Estimates were for the figure to rise by 0.6%.
"Excluding transportation, new orders increased 0.3%. Excluding defense, new orders increased 1.2%," said the report.
Transportation equipment led the decrease, falling $0.6 billion or 0.7%, to $93.0 billion.
