US factory orders fall in December after 7 months of gains
New orders for manufactured goods decreased 0.4%, more than market expectation of 0.2% decline

ANKARA (AA) - US factory orders fell in December after rising for seven consecutive months, according to the Commerce Department on Thursday.
New orders for manufactured goods decreased $2.4 billion, or 0.4%, to $530.7 billion.
While the expectation was a decline of 0.2%, November data was revised to $533.1 billion, or 1.8%, increase.
New orders for manufactured durable goods also fell after two consecutive monthly increases.
Durable goods orders fell $1.9 billion, or 0.7%, to $268.2 billion. They posted a 3.2% gain in November.
