US oil rig count remains unchanged in week ending June 3

ISTANBUL (AA) - The oil rig count in the US remained unchanged this week, according to the latest data released by oilfield services company Baker Hughes on Friday.

The number of oil rigs, an indicator of short-term production in the country, stayed at 574 during the week ending on June 3.

The number of US oil rigs rose by 215 compared to a year ago.

At Friday's trading close, the price of international benchmark Brent crude stood at $116.87 per barrel, while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $120.26 a barrel.
