US stock market closes mixed
Airline shares fall 2 percent

NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market closed mixed Tuesday as tech stocks increased but airline shares declined.
The Dow rose less than a point to close flat at 21,409.
The S&P fell almost two points to 2,425, while the Nasdaq rose 16 points to end the day at 6,193.
Electric automaker Tesla saw its shares increase 3.5 percent.
American Airlines and Southwest Airlines each saw their stock prices fall 2 percent
