US stocks end mostly flat

NEW YORK (AA) - U.S. stocks ended mostly flat Friday, posting only slight gains.

The S&P added one point to end at 2,500, while the Nasdaq rose four points to 6,426.

Both indexes rose around 0.1 percent for the week.

The Dow fell nine points to 22,349 but posted a 0.4 percent weekly gain.

Apple fell 1 percent, marking its third straight day of declines after the iPhone 8 failed to attract interest, according to analysts.

Tensions between the U.S. and North Korea weighed on bank shares, pressuring bond yields.
