US stocks soar as tariff concerns ease
Dow Jones gains 1.42%, S&P 1.76% and Nasdaq 2.27%

ISTANBUL (AA) - US stocks ended sharply higher Monday amid increased expectations that the Trump administration could adopt a more measured approach to tariffs.
While uncertainties regarding the administration's tariff policy continued, equity markets followed a positive course.
The White House is expected to narrow the framework of tariffs, possibly excluding them for some sectors while still applying reciprocal levies on April 2.
Last week, President Donald Trump also signaled that he would be “flexible” on tariffs.
The VIX Index, also known as the “fear index,” fell by 9.34% to 17.48.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared by 1.42%, or 597.97 points, to end the day at 42,583.32.
The S&P 500 rose by 1.76%, or 100.01 points, to 5,767.57, and the Nasdaq Composite jumped by 2.27%, or 404.54 points, to 18,188.59.
