Voting closes in Iraq's parliamentary elections

BAGHDAD/ISTANBUL (AA) - Ballot boxes closed Tuesday evening in Iraq’s parliamentary elections.
Polls closed at 6 pm local time (1500GMT) without any extension, in line with a schedule announced by the country’s electoral commission.
The results of the elections are scheduled to be announced within 24 hours of the vote, and will be officially confirmed after appeals are examined.
