Washington, Riyadh discuss military, defense cooperation

ISTANBUL (AA) - Saudi Arabia and the US discussed ways to cooperate in military and defense on Saturday.

It came during a reception with Saudi Chief of General Staff Fayad Al-Ruwaili and US Central Command Commander Michael Kurilla in the kingdom.

"The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayad Al-Ruwaili, received the Commander of US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla," the Saudi Defense Ministry wrote on X.

The ministry added that "during the reception, the cooperation between the two friendly countries in military and defense fields was reviewed, and issues of mutual interest were discussed," without providing details.
