Collecting 52 points, 3rd-place AC Milan 1 point behind their city rivals Inter Milan

ISTANBUL (AA) - AC Milan's 2-1 derby victory against Inter Milan tightened the Serie A title race as Olivier Giroud scored twice in an away game.

Playing at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, French star Giroud's second-half goals sent 10-man AC Milan to third place, while Ivan Perisic scored a goal for the home club.

The winning side were down to 10 men as Theo Hernandes was given a red card at the stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Napoli claimed a 2-0 win over Venezia, while Juventus defeated Verona with the same score.

Atalanta, who have been in good form tasted a 2-1 home loss against Cagliari.

Inter Milan, who have a game in hand, remained at the top of the standings with 53 points.

Napoli and AC Milan are one point behind the leaders while Juventus are in the fourth place with 45 points.


- La Liga

Real Madrid clinched a 1-0 win over Granada at Santiago Bernabe. Marco Asensio's goal sealed a narrow win for the home side as they increased their points to 53 points.

Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid with a 4-2 score at Camp Nou, while Sevilla were held to a goalless away draw against Osasuna at El Sadar stadium.

Real Madrid top La Liga, followed by Sevilla with 47 points and Real Betis with 40 points.

Barca, who have a game in hand, are in the fourth spot with 38 points.


- Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to 13 points with a huge 5-1 win against Lille.

Olympique Marseille beat Angers 5-2 while Nice lost to Clermont 1-0.

Paris Saint-Germain are at the top of the standings with 56 points, followed by Olympique Marseille with 43 points and Nice with 42 points.


- Bundesliga

Reigning champions Bayern Munich defeated RB Leipzig 3-2 at Allianz Arena, as Polish star Robert Lewandowski took his goal tally to 24.

Union Berlin suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat against Augsburg, while Bayer Leverkusen stunned Borussia Dortmund with a 5-2 away win.

Having 52 points, Bayern Munich are at the top of the standings, nine points ahead of the second-place Borussia Dortmund.

Bayer Leverkusen are in the third spot with 38 points.
