5 top Turkish teams on the road to European competitions in 2024-2025 season

ISTANBUL (AA) - Five teams will represent Türkiye in European football competitions in the 2024-2025 season, according to plans announced Friday.

In addition to the team that completes the 2023-2024 season as the champion, the team that finishes the league in the number two spot will also be able to compete in the UEFA Champions League, said a Turkish Football Federation statement.

For the UEFA Europa League, on the other hand, the Turkish Cup winner will be the first team to qualify, while the third in the league will be the second representative to take part in the competition.

The team that finished the season in fourth place will also get a ticket to the UEFA Europa Conference League.

If the Turkish Cup winner completes the league in the top three spots, the fourth team in the league will qualify for the UEFA Europa League, and the fifth team will go to the UEFA Europa Conference League.
