AC Milan forward Rafael Leao renews his contract until 2028

ANKARA (AA) - Portuguese forward Rafael Leao has signed a contract extension with AC Milan, committing to the club for another five years.

"AC Milan is pleased to announce that Rafael Alexandre da Conceicao Leao has renewed his contract with the Club until 30 June 2028," the Italian club said in a statement on Friday.

Leao, 23, joined Milan in 2019 and has since scored 41 goals in 162 appearances.

The talented player was named the "Best Player in Serie A" in the 2021-22 season when Milan secured the Italian league title.

In the current season, Leao has contributed with 14 goals and 15 assists in 47 matches.

Leao previously played for Portugal's Sporting and France's Lille.
