Anadolu Efes beat Baskonia to seal 7th victory in EuroLeague season

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish basketball side Anadolu Efes defeated Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 87-72 in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 15 game on Tuesday.

With a better start to the game, Baskonia led the first quarter 21-13 before the home side bounced back for a single-point advantage at the end of the first half, making the score 43-42 at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul.

In the second half, Anadolu Efes took control of the game with a 66-62 lead in the third quarter and secured their seventh victory with a final score of 87-72.

Vasilije Micic led Anadolu Efes with 24 points, while Tibor Pleiss produced 17.

Shane Larkin racked up 16 points and Adrien Moerman finished with 15 for the Turkish side.

For the Spanish team, Jayson Granger and Simone Fontecchio each added 17 points.

Anadolu Efes improved their season record to seven wins and eight losses, sitting in the 10th place.

Baskonia suffered their 10th defeat of the season.
