Anadolu Efes to retire Krunoslav Simon's jersey

Simon, 37, joined Istanbul team in 2017, was integral part of squad that won back-to-back EuroLeague titles

ANKARA (AA) – Anadolu Efes will retire Krunoslav Simon’s jersey for the 2022-23 season.

Simon, 37, joined the Istanbul team in 2017 and was an integral part of the squad that won back-to-back EuroLeague titles in 2021 and 2022.

He also helped Anadolu Efes win the 2019 and 2021 Turkish titles.

In a Twitter post on Friday, the club thanked the Croatian forward for his services and announced that his number 44 jersey will be hung in the rafters of their home court next season.

Simon averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 27 EuroLeague games as he battled through various injuries last season.
