Arsenal hammer Manchester City 5-1 in Premier League clash

Arsenal hammered Manchester City 5-1 in the English Premier League week 24 clash on Sunday, to cut the gap to leaders Liverpool to six points.

Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard made good use of German star Kai Havertz's pass to open the score in the second minute at Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City's Norwegian star Erling Haaland equalized with a header in the 55th minute, but the Sky Blues took the lead back just two minutes later with Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey's goal.

Young English defender Myles Lewis-Skelly made it 3-1 with a good shot to the top right corner of the goal in the 62nd minute.

Havertz netted the fourth goal of the Gunners in the 76th minute, and then substitute Ethan Nwaneri scored a stunning curler in the 93rd minute.

Arsenal are at the second spot in the standings with 50 points, while Pep Guardiola's Sky Blues are ranked fourth with 41 points after suffering their seventh defeat this season. Liverpool have 56 points.
