Arsenal lead Prem despite loss to United, Freiburg take lead in Bundesliga, PSG, Real, Napoli top their leagues in Europe
Weekend action in Europe's top 5 leagues did not dissapoint as big clashes, surpise results entertain fans

ANKARA (AA) - The leaders in Europe's top 5 football leagues, following the weekend action are Arsenal in English Premier League, Real Madrid in Spanish La Liga, Napoli in Italian Serie A, Freiburg in German Bundesliga and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in French Ligue 1.
- English Premier League
Manchester United beat Arsenal 3-1 in the closing match of week 6 of the English Premier League.
Manchester United -- starting the season with two consecutive loses -- won their last four games. The Red Devils hosted leaders Arsenal, who won all five league games so far.
Manchester United are placed fifth with 12 points, while Arsenal is in the lead with 15 points, despite the loss.
The defending champions, Manchester City drew 1-1 with Aston Villa in an away game.
The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool ended 0-0. This season, Liverpool settled for one point for the third time and Everton for the fourth time.
At the end of week 6 in the Premier League, leaders Arsenal are followed by Manchester City and Tottenham with 14 points each.
- Spanish La Liga
Real Madrid defeated Real Betis 2-1 in week 4 of the Spanish La Liga.
Real Madrid, the only team in the league to make 4 out of 4, rose to the leadership with 12 points, while Real Betis remained on 9 points.
Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-0 in an away game. Barca increased its points to 10 with a difficult away win and rose to the second spot after Real Madrid.
On the other hand, Polish striker Lewandowski, who has been scoring in Barcelona for the last three weeks, increased the total number of goals to 5, and shared the top scorer in La Liga with Iago Aspas of Celta Vigo.
At the end of the week 4 of La Liga, after Real Madrid and Barcelona, Villarreal take the third spot with 10 points.
- Italian Serie A
AC Milan defeated Inter Milan 3-2 in the Italian Serie A derby.
After this win, the defending champion Milan have 11 points, while Inter has 9.
In week 5 of Serie A, the leaders Napoli defeated Lazio 2-1 in an away match. After this win, Napoli rose its points to 11, while Lazio have 8 points.
Juventus, on the other hand, drew 1-1 with Fiorentina in an away game and placed sixth in the league with 9 points.
Roma got a surprise 0-4 defeat against Udinese in an away game. Napoli was followed by Milan in the standings, both with 11 points.
- German Bundesliga
Bayern Munich drew 1-1 with Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich, who drew 1-1 with Borussia Monchengladbach last week, left the last two matches in a draw. Increasing its points to 11, the Bavarian team regressed to the third place on the standings with goal difference. Union Berlin, which increased its unbeaten streak to 12 in the league, placed fourth with 11 points.
Freiburg took the table lead by beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 in an away match, while Borussia Dortmund defeated Hoffenheim 1-0.
After week 5 in the Bundesliga, Freiburg top the standings with 12 points, followed by Borussia Dortmund who has 12 points as well and Bayern Munich with 11 points.
- French Ligue 1
In week 6 of the French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Nantes 3-0 in an away match. Reaching 16 points in Ligue 1, PSG maintained its lead.
Olympique Marseille defeated Auxerre 2-0 in an away game.
After week 6 in Ligue 1, PSG, the reigning champions, lead the standings with 16 points, while Olympic Marseille are just behind with the same points and a goal difference.
