Arsenal maintain 5-point gap with late win over Bournemouth, Napoli suffer 2nd loss but stay top of Serie A

ISTANBUL (AA) - Arsenal retained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League, while Italian top-tier league’s leaders Napoli suffered their second defeat of the season.

Arsenal gained a crucial win against Bournemouth with a goal in the 97th minute at Emirates stadium.

Reiss Nelson collected critical three points for the London club as the game ended with a 3-2 score.

Manchester City beat Newcastle United 2-0 to increase their points to 58 after 26 matches.

Liverpool made history by defeating Manchester United 7-0. Mohamed Salah has become the Red Devil's all-time top scorer in Premier League with 129 goals.

Fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur suffered a narrow loss against Wolverhampton at Molineux Stadium.

- La Liga

The 10-man Barcelona upset Valencia as the goal came from Raphinha. Ronald Araujo received a red card at Camp Nou.

Defending Champion Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw with Real Betis. Barca are currently nine points ahead of Real Madrid.

Fenerbahce's Europa League opponents Sevilla lost to Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano with a 6-1 score.

Third-place Atletico Madrid have 45 points while fourth-place Real Sociedad collected 44 points.

- Serie A

Napoli suffered their second defeat of the season but lead the Italian top-tier league with 65 points.

Lazio claimed a narrow win over league leaders with a classy long-range finish from Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino at Diego Armando Maradona.

Second-place Inter Milan beat Lecce 2-0 while Roma defeat Juventus 1-0 and AC Milan claimed a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on matchday 25 of Italy Serie A.

Inter Milan have collected 50 points and Lazio have 48 points, while Roma and AC Milan have 47 points each.

- Bundesliga

Bayern Munich defeated Stuttgart 2-1 at Mercedes-Benz Arena, while Borussia Dortmund beat Leipzig with the same score at Westfalen stadium.

Union Berlin were held to a goalless draw by Koln at Alte Forsterei stadium.

Bayern Munich are top of the German top-tier league with 49 points and Borussia Dortmund are second with the same points. Union Berlin are third with 44 points.

- Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain Nantes beat 4-2 to boost their points to 63 in 26 matches.

Kylian Mbappe scored late against Nantes on Saturday to become PSG's record goal scorer, surpassing Edinson Cavani (200).

Olympique Marseille reached 55 points after a narrow win over Rennes. Monaco were held to a 2-2 draw with Troyes.

Third-place Monaco and fourth-place Lens have collected 51 points each.
