Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid 3-1 in 1st capital derby of season in La Liga

ISTANBUL (AA) - Atletico Madrid secured a 3-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday in the first Spanish La Liga​​​​​​​ derby of the season in Spain’s capital city.

Alvaro Morata scored twice in the fourth and 46th minutes while Antoine Griezmann produced another goal in the 18th minute for Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano.

Real Madrid's only goal came from Toni Kroos in the 35th minute.

With this result, Atletico Madrid are fifth with 10 points while Real Madrid are third with 15 points in the sixth week.
