“With the support of the COP29 Presidency and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the alliance that will be established with the joint organization of Qarabag FK and the European Club Association (ECA) will include 10 clubs along with our team,” the club said in a statement on Facebook on Wednesday.
The statement said that the clubs invited to become founding members of the alliance are Liverpool, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Udinese, Porto, Flamengo, and Malmo.
“These clubs, which are always sensitive to the listed issues, develop and implement memorable projects, will sign a document on the establishment of an alliance,” the statement added.
It went on to say the clubs will present “unique sustainability projects they are experimenting with." The other clubs active in terms of sustainability will be invited to the alliance later.
The establishment of the alliance will take place on Nov. 16, the statement said.
