B-Ball: Anadolu Efes beat Barcelona 86-79 in Istanbul

Shane Larkin’s 23 points, 7 boards, 8 assists helps Turkish club to eight win in EuroLeague

ISTANBUL (AA) - Anadolu Efes defeated Spain's Barcelona 86-79 for an eighth win Tuesday in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 16 game.

Anadolu Efes' US-born Turkish guard Shane Larkin led all scorers with 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.

Serbian player Vasilije Micic finished with 17 points and five assists, while Croatian forward Krunoslav Simon added 16 for the home team.

Barcelona's Nikola Mirotic produced 18 points and eight rebounds as Nick Calathes scored 15, had six rebounds and six assists.

The result gave Barca five losses in EuroLeague.

Russia's Zenit St Petersburg defeated Serbia's Crvena Zvezda Mts Belgrade 98-69 at St Petersburg's Sibur Arena in another EuroLeague game Tuesday.
