'Ansu Fati has internal meniscus tear in his left knee,' Barcelona says on social media

ANKARA (AA) - Barcelona's Spanish star Ansu Fati was injured in his knee on Saturday.

"Tests carried out this afternoon have shown that Ansu Fati has an internal meniscus tear in his left knee. The treatment to be followed will be determined in the coming days," the Spanish football club said on Twitter.

The 18-year-old forward was injured in Saturday's 5-2 win against Real Betis as he was subbed out.

Fati is a Barcelona product, playing for this club's youth teams.

He was promoted to the senior squad in 2019 and has contract with Barcelona until 2022.

The left winger scored 5 goals and produced 4 assists in 10 appearances this season.
