The opening ceremony was held at the Huabei Hotel in Beijing and attended by more than 200 defense officials and experts from over 30 countries and international organizations, as well as journalists.
The meeting, which will continue through Wednesday, features seminars and dialogues to strengthen global engagement and offer insights into security governance.

Maj. Gen Maj. Gen. Chen Xiaoqian, vice president of the People’s Liberation Army’s Academy of Military Sciences and secretary general of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, delivered the keynote address.
"A truly multipolar world is not about ranking different countries in a hierarchical manner, but about treating small countries equally on the basis of mutual respect, so that every country or group of countries can participate on an equal footing. The construction of the world order can find its place in the multi-level system and play its own role," he said, according to a post on the forum’s X account.
Established in 2006, the Beijing Xiangshan Forum has been held 11 times and has grown into a recognized platform for international defense and security dialogue.
