Brighton draw with champions Man City, secure place in Europa League
Seagulls to play in 2nd-tier Europa League next season as they sit sixth in English Premier League

ANKARA (AA) - Brighton & Hove Albion clinched a spot in the second-tier UEFA Europa League next season after a 1-1 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City on Wednesday.
Visiting team Man City's midfielder Phil Foden drew first blood in the 25th minute at Amex Stadium. Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland played a through ball to find Foden as the English midfielder finished in the box.
Brighton leveled the match in the 38th minute as Paraguayan forward Julio Enciso scored a sensational long-range goal.
The match ended 1-1 as Brighton ended Man City's 12-match winning run.
The Seagulls, who secured sixth place with 62 points in the league, qualified for the second-tier Europa League next season.
Man City have 89 points in 37 matches and were crowned the English champions last weekend after second-placed Arsenal lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
So Manchester City have qualified for the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League.
