British TV's Dr. Michael Mosley reported missing on Greek island of Symi

ATHENS (AA) - Popular British TV presenter Dr. Michael Mosley has been reported missing on the Greek island of Symi, where was spending his vacation, local media reported on Thursday.

According to his wife, who filed a missing person report with the police on the Dodecanese island, Mosley has not been heard from since Wednesday afternoon, said Greek outlet Rodiaki.

Coast guard and police teams launched an extensive search effort, which is still underway, it added.

Mosley, 67, who has worked for the BBC since 1985, is best known for his programs on medicine and his regular appearances on The One Show.​​​​​​​
