Chelsea fight to take home draw with Liverpool in Premier League

Chelsea on Sunday began the Mauricio Pochettino era with a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in London.

Visitors Liverpool drew first blood in the 18th minute to take a 1-0 lead at Stamford Bridge.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah sent a killer ball to Colombian forward Luis Diaz, who was running into the Chelsea box. Diaz was at the far post to score for Liverpool after Salah's fine through ball.

Chelsea leveled in the 37th minute as French defender Axel Disasi scored from close range.

In the first half, Salah's goal for Liverpool and Ben Chilwell's goal for Chelsea were ruled out for offside after VAR reviews.

Points were shared after the final whistle.

On Sunday, London club Tottenham Hotspur drew with Brentford 2-2 in an away match.
