ISTANBUL (AA) – The Milwaukee Bucks confirmed on Tuesday that head coach Mike Budenholzer has signed a multiyear contract extension with the team.
Budenholzer, 52, joined the reigning NBA champions in 2018 after five seasons at the Atlanta Hawks.
He guided the Bucks to the 2021 NBA Championship, the team’s first title in 50 years, as well as the NBA’s best regular-season record and the most playoff wins in the league – 31.
“The appreciation I have for being a part of the Bucks organization is hard to express," Budenholzer said as he thanked the team owners and management for the decision.
“The players make the success happen on and off the court. We have the best players and to them I am grateful… We all can’t wait to get back to work and face the great challenge of competing again for an NBA Championship… Let’s keep getting better and building great teams and doing great work on and off the court.”
