DeRozan scores 40 to carry Bulls past Spurs 120-109

Thunder defeats Knicks 127-123 in overtime; Giddey, Randle produce triple-double

ISTANBUL (AA) – The Chicago Bulls beat the San Antonio Spurs 120-109 for their fourth straight victory, with DeMar DeRozan scoring a game-high 40 points in Monday night’s match.

The Bulls had a good start at the beginning, building a 29-27 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter ended 30-30.

The Bulls, however, took a 17-point lead at the end of the fourth quarter, 37-20, at United Center.

DeMar DeRozan led the winning team with 40 points as he recorded his seventh consecutive game with at least 30 points.

Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic produced 25 points and 16 rebounds, and Coby White scored 24 points for Chicago.

For the losing side, Dejounte Murray posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists. Lonnie Walker came off the bench to add 21 points.

Second-place Chicago Bulls have a 37/21 win/loss record in the Eastern Conference, while San Antonio Spur sitting 12th recorded 22 wins and 36 losses in the Western Conference.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New York Knicks 127-123 in overtime at Madison Square Garden.

Josh Giddey produced a triple-double with 28 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma. Tre Mann was the highest scorer of his team with 30 points.

For the Knicks, Julius Randle posted a triple-double with 30 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds.

Ranking 14th in the West standings, the Oklahoma City Thunder are going with an 18-39 win/loss record.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are currently in the 12th spot with 25 wins and 33 losses in the Eastern Conference.
