English Premier League reports 18 new coronavirus cases
Nearly 1,500 players, club staff tested last week

ANKARA (AA) - The English Premier League reported 18 coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
"The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 21 December and Sunday 27 December, 1,479 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, there were 18 new positive tests," the league said in a statement.
The names of players or staff members were not cited.
Those testing positive for the virus will be quarantined for 10 days.
