European exchanges close Monday mixed

ISTANBUL (AA) — European stock exchanges closed with mixed results on Monday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose just 0.1 points, or 0.02%, to finish flat at 520.86.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the worst performer of day, falling 18 points, or 0.22%, to end the session at almost 8,415.

Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, declined 30 points, or 0.16%, to close at 18,742. France's CAC 40 shed nine points, or 0.12%, to 8,209.

Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, was the best performer of the day, rising 158 points, or 0.46%, to 34,815.

Spain's IBEX 35 climbed 46 points, or 0.42%, to end the day at 11,152.
