Fenerbahce beat Zenit for 5th EuroLeague win

ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce defeated Zenit St Petersburg 86-80 Thursday for their fifth EuroLeague win.

Zenit had a one-point advantage at the end of the first half with the score 41-40. By the end of the third period, the Russian side was leading 62-61.

But Fenerbahce took control of the game in the final quarter, in which they scored 25 points.

Czech center Jan Vesely was the highest scorer of the game with 32 points and five rebounds at the Sibur Arena.

French guard Nando de Colo produced 18 points and eight assists and Canadian guard Dyshawn Pierre 13 points.

For the losing side, Jordan Loyd finished with 19 points as Mindaugas Kuzminskas helped his team with 17 points.

15th-place Fenerbahce improved their season record to five wins and nine defeats.

- Anadolu Efes lose to Bayern Munich

Anadolu Efes tasted an 83-71 defeat against Bayern Munich at the Audi Dome.

Bayern's Serbian forward Vladimir Lucic made a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Deshaun Thomas and Augustine Rubit scored 18 points each.

For Efes, Shane Larkin finished with 18 points.

The 11th-place Anadolu Efes recorded its sixth defeat with the result.
