Fenerbahce Beko advance to EuroLeague playoffs despite loss to Crvena Zvezda in overtime

ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce Beko moved to the EuroLeague playoffs despite a 91-89 overtime loss to Crvena Zvezda in Round 34 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Thursday.

Regular time ended with the scoreboard showing 79 points apiece after Facundo Campazzo scored two points with five seconds to go at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

With only one second to go, Nick Calathes missed his own three-point shot in overtime and the Round 34 clash ended in favor of the Serbian club.

Fenerbahce's Johnathan Motley was the highest scorer of the game with 27 points and eight rebounds.

Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 19 points and eight rebounds while Calathes made a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists.

Crvena Zvezda’s Facundo Campazzo produced 24 points and Ognjen Dobric finished with 22 points in the home win.

Seventh-place Fenerbahce finished the regular season with 19 wins and 15 losses while Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade are 10th with 17 wins and 17 defeats.

Olympiacos Piraeus are at the top of the EuroLeague table with 24 victories and 10 losses.

Overall, Fenerbahce have played a total of 24 games in the playoffs, winning 15 and losing nine.
