Fenerbahce to face Dynamo Kyiv in Champions League 2nd qualifying round

1st leg to be played on July 19 or 20, while 2nd leg clash to be held on July 26 or 27

ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce will take on Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.

The draw for the second round qualifying stage was held on Wednesday at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

"Here we go! Dynamo Kyiv is our opponent in the UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round," Fenerbahce said on Twitter.

Fenerbahce will visit the Ukrainian team in the first leg on July 19 or 20 and the second-leg match will be played at the Turkish club's home ground, Ulker Stadium on July 26 or 27.

The Yellow Canaries finished the Super Lig in the second spot with 73 points to qualify for the Champions League, eight points behind Trabzonspor.

In April, the Ukrainian Premier League was terminated without naming the champion over the war in Ukraine that began on Feb. 24.

Shakhtar Donetsk were the leaders with 47 points from 18 matches, and their nearest opponents Dynamo Kyiv were two points behind them.

Meanwhile, the second qualifying round winners will move to the third qualifying stage, and defeated sides will transfer to the Europa League third qualifying round.
