Fenerbahce to seek morale-boost victory in Trabzon

ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce will look to gain a morale-boosting win on Sunday in a Turkish Super Lig clash against Trabzonspor.

On matchday 26, Izmir club Goztepe claimed a 1-0 win over Fenerbahce, giving Yellow Canaries a shock loss.

Falling three points behind arch-rivals Galatasaray, Fenerbahce are in the third spot with 51 points.

The Istanbul club will lack some of the key players in this week's most anticipated game.

Irfan Can Kahveci, Argentine midfielder Diego Perrotti, Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo, Tanzanian forward Mbwana Samatta and Sadik Ciftpinar are not expected to play against Trabzonspor due to their injuries.

Trabzonspor, who won seven games in a row, is currently in fourth place with 48 points.

The injured midfielders Abdulkadir Omur and Anders Trondsen will not fight for the Black Sea Storm in Sunday's match.
